The Telescoping Transfer Vehicle is a nonpowered conveyor that telescopes from a closed position to an open position. The unit usually consists of 4 fixed conveyors and 3 mobile conveyors, but can vary based on the needs of a particular application. Each conveyor finger is standard 9" BF width with 3" channel sideframes and 2-1/2"-14g rollers on 3" centers, The fixed conveyors are supported from the floor by integral supports. The mobile conveyors are assembled in a unit at the front end and supported by a pair of 5" dia. rigid casters. At the opposite end each conveyor is supported from the fixed conveyors by means of plastic idler wheels that ride on the sideframes of the fixed conveyors. Telescoping movement may be accomplished by manual means or by attaching the unit to an external device that moves in the same manner. |
